Just Sitting Here on My Blog

Hi! Hope your week is off to a great start! Mine has already been way too busy. I never feel "caught up." I have this mental image of what it must be and I never get to that point. There is always something left on the list. I shopped and cleaned yesterday. Today, I have an appointment and I have social plans for Weds and Thurs so before I know it, we will be at another busy weekend. Ahhhhh!!!!

So before the whirlwind blows me away, here is my card for today. It is a simple design that makes a great sketch to use for those long, "border" type stamp images. The one I used is an oldie-but-goodie from SU called Simply Sweet. I colored my chairs to match the harlequin paper and went from there. The sentiment is printed on my computer so the only stamping is the chair image and the faux stitching. I often use my computer for card sentiments like this. When there are a lot of words and I don't have a stamp that says what I want to include on my card, I find it to be easier than setting up a saying with individual letters. I have a few tricks to do this and I have found a way to print multiple copies of the sentiment while making them all the same size panel too. if you would like to know more, leave a comment or email me and I will fill you in on my "secret."

The details are below for my fellow scrampers. If you would like to purchase this card instead, it will be available for sale (very soon) in my etsy shop. Make sure to visit tomorrow because I will have a new MojoMonday challenge card to show you. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. The card really is super sweet! I'd love to know your printing secret! Will you fill me in? Of course, that won't stop me from shopping with you, 'cause having someone do all the work is best! =] Also, if it isn't too much of a bother - can you tell me in the email a little more about COPIC markers? I've been hearing that word or seeing it everywhere, but I have no idea what it is. Great work here as usual!
p.s. You should put your miniEtsy in your sidebar! That way people can shop straight from here (with pictures included!) =]

  2. Thanks for the tip about mini-etsy! I have seen that but don't know much about it. Time to check it out! I will email you about copics and the printing tip though. :)

  3. I'm just finding your blog from MidniteScrapper. Love all of your cards. I too am in Georgia :-)
