Boo to You!

Hi folks! I'm back after a little break. A little blogging break anyway...it was far from a break in activity. My part time job started again this weekend. The fall selling season is upon us. I had planned to blog at night after work but alas, I was pooped! And then yesterday, I ended up having my kids home from school due to some awful weather here. We had rains of "biblical proportions" and our county had so many road closures, the kids got the day off and they are home today as well. Well, enough about my weekend...how about a card? I have another delicious little Halloween greeting to show you. I might never get tired of the new fall digi-images from All That Scraps. Wanna see it?

And the inside of the card...

I used the adorable "mummy trevor" digi image. I was worried the image wouldn't offer enough of a visual punch because it wasn't full of color but I think he works well anyway. I chose some papers from my stash. They are really old but I think they come together to accent the image well. My sketch came from the 3rd challenge offered by the girls over at Crazy 4 Challenges. So far, they have given us 3 great weeks of fun sketches. I can't wait to see what they come up with in the future. I love their card examples too. They are a super talented group of girls for sure!

I think the rest of my card is pretty easy to figure out. I'll list my supplies below. Be sure to pop back in tomorrow because I have another cute card to show you. When I worked over the weekend, I dropped by my favorite scrap store and splurged on a tiny little unmounted stamp and the sentiment to go with it. I played with it last night and I think you'll like the results. At least I hope you will! Have a great day and I will blog at ya soon!

A New Challenge in Town

Happy Saturday, folks! I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I got SO much done today. I love those productive weekends. Why don't they happen more often? I figured before I sat down to stamp my night away, I would show you the card I made yesterday for the very first challenge hosted by Crazy 4 Challenges. They gave away a great prize for cards posted before 8pm last night but alas, I was too late to get in on that action. I still had fun playing along though! Here is my card...

I can't seem to make up my mind whether I want to make fall or winter cards so I guess it is a good thing that both are on their way, huh? One thing is for sure though...this sketch is a fun sketch! They gave us a great one for their first week. My image is from the Stampendous set called Short Snowy Stacks. What a versatile set! It comes with several mix & match portions of holiday figures like elf suits and reindeer feet. They can be combined in lots of different ways. You can make a snowman wearing various hats or even a reindeer in a Santa suit. I went pretty conservative today I guess. My snowman isn't too adventurous of a combo but he sure is cute! And of course, these images color really well. I have to be able to color with my Copics dontcha know! I used an older Cuttlebug folder that I bought on clearance back in the spring. I can't seem to find the exact name of it since it isn't being sold anymore. It looks like a snowflake quilt in the background of the card. The snowflake embellishment at the top looks white in my photo but I promise it is punched from shiny, metallic silver paper. In real life, it shows up much better.

Well ladies, (I assume, LOL!), I am off for a night in the scramp room with hubby. Before I do that, I have an appt with my daughter and an Easy Bake oven so I better skeedaddle. I hope you enjoyed my card tonight and if you think of it, hop over to the new Crazy 4 Challenges blog and play along. The new sketch for the week is up and ready as of this morning. Good Nite!
